Installing the Print Server role

Before installing the WatchdocSkyPrint®, first install the Print Server Role. If this role is already installed, go directly to the next chapter, "Installing Watchdoc SkyPrint®".
  1. From the Watchdoc SkyPrint® unzipped folder, open the Setup > Windows folder.

  2. From the server, access the Server Manager Windows®;

  3. in the Server selection list, select the server on which to install the printing service;

  4. click on Next;


     

  5. in the Servers roles list, click on Print and documents services and check the following boxes:

    • Print server:

    • Internet printing:

    • LPD Service:

       

  1. Click on Next to continue the installation up to access until you reach the Confirm installation choices window;

  2. click on Install to confirm the installation of the selected roles and services;

     

  1. at the end of the installation, click on Close;

  2. at the end of the process, restart the server.

Installing the printing driver

In the Printing management interface:

  1. Deploy the entire Printing servers tree;

  2. Right click on Drivers > Add a driver.

  3. A wizzard Adding a Driver is displayed.

  4. Follow the process until presented in the wizzard (by adjusting the settings regarding your network technical configuration and your devices configuration);



  5. At the end of the installation, the installed driver is displayed in the available drivers list:

     


     

  6. Close the Printing management interface.
