WSC - Cards - Import cards in bulk

Principle

The Watchdoc Supervision Console had a tool allowing the mass import a list of cards extracted from a third database.

To import a cards list in the supervision console, it's necessary to have, beforehand extracted the cards from the third database in a csv file.

Access the Cards Management interface

1. From the WSC Main Menu, click on the Cards Management button:
   
   
   
   

2. you access the Cards Management interface, in which are displayed the cards already registered:
   
   
   

Procedure

To import the cards list from the .csv file:

1. from the Cards Management interface, from the management menu, click on the button:
   
   
   

 

2. from the Import from CSV file box, click on the button to find the .csv import file in your work space:
   

3. select the .csv file to import:
   
   
   
   

4. select the .csv file's format;

5. "Do not import if there is an error in the file" box:

• tick the box to import the cards even if there is an error in the file;

• don't tick the box to import the cards only if there is no error in the file;

The errors occurred while importing are reported in the end report displayed at the end of the operation.

è At the end or this operation, a message is displayed to inform of the success or to alert about the errors that occur while importing:

 

è If the box "Do not import..." is ticked, the error message is generic; if the box is not ticked, the error message specifies the erroneous lines:

The error message specifies a gap in the import file (missing value in a column) or incompatibility between the format of the file and the format chosen in the interface.
