Watchdoc - Reports Schedule - Presentation

Principle

The Reports Schedule is a Watchdoc feature designed to send users a report of their print activity. This report is sent by email to a frequency previously predefined by the Watchdoc administrator.

In the Watchoc versions prior to 5.3, there was a feature based on the Watchdoc Reporting Services (WRS) tool that runs SQL^® Reporting Services, allowing reports to be sent as an attachment to an email.
The new function developed for version 5.3, on the other hand, makes it possible to do without WRS and to send the data directly in the mail, without having to open an attachment.

 

 

As the reports are sent by mail, it's mandatory that Watchdoc is associated with an SMTP server.

In a domain configuration, the Reports communicator is only configured on the master server.

Steps

The reports sending requires :

1. to configure the notification service ;

2. to schedule the reports.
