Regenerate an SQL PUK Code directory

Principle

When Watchdoc users are registered in an Entra ID directory (Microsoft Azure), if they authenticate using a PUK code, these codes are stored in a directory of PUK codes managed in a SQL table.

 

Regenerating the directory of PUK codes increases the security of authentication by deleting the list of codes at a set frequency and regenerating the codes as users need them.

Procedure

To configure the regeneration of PUK codes :

1. from the Watchdoc Main Menu > Configuration section > click on User directories;

2. In the list of directories, locate the PUK code directory and click on the Modify this directory button;

3. in the directory configuration interface, Options section, Variability parameter, choose the frequency with which the directory should be regenerated:

   • daily

   • weekly

   • monthly
     

4. Click on to validate the new configuration.
