Watchdoc Skyprint - Consult the print job list

Principle

Print jobs sent to Skyprint appear in a list that can be viewed in the administration interface.

To view print jobs, click on the Job List menu item:

  • The Pending jobs tab lists jobs sent to Skyprint but not yet processed by Watchdoc.

  • The Sent jobs tab lists jobs sent to Skyprint and then processed by Watchdoc.

Pending jobs

The jobs listed here are print requests that have been accepted by Skyprint but not yet processed by Watchdoc.

When a job has not yet been sent, its status indicates the reason why:

The job was submitted with a forbidden email address: the request was sent from an unauthorised email address (see Configure acceptance conditions).

When printing fails after several attempts, the print request is then considered to be in error. It can then be deleted from the list using the button on the right:

Sent jobs

The jobs included in this list are the last 50 print requests processed by Watchdoc.
The information provided allows you to see the details of the processing carried out by Watchdoc:

Errors messages

In the list of pending jobs, the Status column may display the following error messages:

  • The job was submitted with a forbidden email address: the request is sent from an unauthorised email address (see Configure the e-mails acceptance conditions)

  • No user found with e-mail address: the condition Authorize user creation is not checked and no user is registered for the e-mail address sending the document (see Configure the e-mails acceptance conditions)

  • Failed to create a new user with email address: the condition Authorize user creation is checked, but WSC is unable to create the user.

This problem is probably due to a WSC failure. On the Home page, in the Server connection status for user management section, you can check:

    • the connection status between Skyprint and WSC and/or the operation of WSC. The message ‘connection to Watchdoc failed’ indicates that WSC is not functioning correctly, either due to the connection settings configured in Skyprint or due to a malfunction in WSC;

    • the rights assigned to the user responsible for managing Skyprint. The message ‘The account does not have the necessary rights’ indicates that the account does not have sufficient rights to create users in the WSC Guests database (see Configure user management).

  • SendingPrintApi : The job has been sent to Watchdoc. Once processed by Watchdoc, the job moves to the ‘Sent’ list. If the job remains in the ‘Pending’ list, there is a problem preventing Watchdoc from processing it. Check the status of the connection between Skyprint and Watchdoc and/or the operation of Watchdoc.

  • Job [{JobId}] has an invalid/unsupported mime type: the document format is not supported (not a PDF):
