What's Watchdoc for Reporting Services ?

Optional Watchdoc module, Watchdoc for Reporting Services (WRS) is a set of queries for generating a global report of the print activity controlled by Watchdoc.

The WRS Tools installation utility supplied with WRS allows very easy installation and initialisation of reports in your SQL environment.

WRS operates in a Microsoft® SQL environment and is associated to the Microsoft® SQL Reporting Services component which allows the execution of the requests. WRS is usually installed on the server where is installed MS SQL® but can also be installed on an other one : in that case, the administrator must provide to WRS the connection information to access the SQL server.

WRS installation and reports initialization are done thanks to WRS Tools, a utility software furnished with WRS.

Designed to be produced automatically, once a month by default, the report can be adapted and customised by Doxense as an extra service, or by the customer itself provided it has sufficient expertise in MS SQL Reporting Services® The reports may be saved in a predefined network folder or e-mail to a recipient.

Benefits

The clarity of the information in the reports makes it easier to analyze the print activity:

  • overall volumetry;

  • evolution of print volumes;

  • distribution of printings by groups;

  • summary per user;

  • etc.
