Reporting Services Installation

Activation of WRS^® requires the MS^® SQL configuration. If you activate WRS after MS^® SQL database installation, it's necessary to access the database manager tool to modify the configuration.

If you don't have any SQL licence, Reporting Services^® must be installed on the Watchdoc^® database server.

Sql reporting service^® is a reporting tool running a series of greedy queries.It is then recommended to have available memory in order to anticipate the growth of the base.

MS^® SQL Reporting Services component's installation

When installing Microsoft^® SQL:

1. in the Feature Selection interface, tick the box Instance Feature > Reporting Services - Native :
   
   
   

    

2. Click on Next button;

3. In the Instance Configuration interface, in the Instance field, enter the instance name (MSSQLSERVER by default);
   
   
   
   

4. click on Next button;

5. in the Server Configuration box, in the Account Name column, keep the default value (network service):
   
   
   

    

6. click on the Next button;

7. In the Database Engine Configuration interface, specify the authentication "Mixed mode" (SQL Server and Windows^® authentications) ;
   
   

   
   

8. click on the Next button;

9. in the Reporting Services Configuration box, get the Installing setup programm configures the solution by default;
   
   
   

    

10. click on the Next button, then close the SQL Server installation.
