Configuring a print quota
In this tutorial we explain how to configure your print quota.
In Watchdoc, a quota is a credit of value units dedicated to printing and allocated to a user or group of users.
This quota can be credited :
-
by the administrator (company, university, administration) manually or automatically, according to a predefined frequency, using a fixed value;
-
by the user themselves, manually, according to their needs.
When print jobs are chargeable to the user, the quota is associated with a currency and constitutes a Virtual Purse (VPP) that can be used to pay for different print jobs. This cost is defined by the administrator, who allocates a price per page based on various criteria (monochrome/colour, sheet size, duplexing and the software applications from which the documents originate).
The operation of the quota (PMV) is defined using a management rule.
