Ricoh WES - Compatibilities

Watchdoc and the Ricoh WES v3 are compatible with the following models.

Two anomalies (see below) affecting Ricoh® WES have been reported by Doxense® to Ricoh® Japan, which is currently analysing them in order to resolve them as quickly as possible.

Cards readers

The following cards readers are supported:

  • Elatec TWN3 Mifare;

  • TWN3 Mifare NFC;

  • TWN4 MultiTech.

Anomalies

  • Firmware anomaly n°1 - Identification not possible / Identification screen in permanent progress.

    The user is blocked on the identification screen ("identification in progress...") despite entering correct identifiers.

    Investigations are currently underway at Ricoh Japan. They focus on the disruption caused by the WEB API layer invoked remotely when authentication is requested by a user from the application installed on the printing device.

     

  • Firmware Error #2 - Black screen on logout.

    After a user disconnects, the WES interface disappears and a black screen blocks any interaction or navigation:

     

     

    Note that the appearance of the black screen is always preceded by a much longer than usual disconnection (disconnection screen in progress).

     

    The only way to get back to the WES home screen (to be able to authenticate again) is to click on the home icon (home icon).

     

    Investigations are currently underway at Ricoh® Japan and focus on associating a user logout operation with the use of the BrowserNX.

    The problem seems to be limited to new generation IMC type devices.
