Configure WXS

Steps

To install and configure the WXS solution, do the following steps:

  1. plug the TCPConv2 device and connect it;

  2. configure theTCP Conv 2device thanks to the tool downloaded from the Elatec® web site;

  3. configure the network;

  4. configure the USB card reader;

  5. create and configure the Elatec WES profile from the Watchdoc administration web site;

  6. from the Watchdoc administration interface, configure the profile onto the print queue to assign the newly created WES profile to it. When configuring the queue, you will define parameters that are specific to each model of WES. The parameters that are needed to configure the WES will therefore vary depending on the make and model of the device;

  7. install the WES, to activate it onto the device.

When you install Watchdoc, you will perform the service's initial configuration by setting up a first print queue. During this operation, if you tick the WES: Automatically create directories and WES instances box in the Automatic configuration section, then Watchdoc automatically creates the default WES profiles based on the information found in the license. Consequently, the WES profile is automatically configured (default machine administrator account and machine prerequisites met).
